Welcome to LL Appaloosas. We are located in Burns, WY approximately 30 miles east of Cheyenne, home of Cheyenne Frontier Days, the World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo. We specialize in breeding the performance horse that can do performance classes like reining, games, cattle classes including cutting, compete in a halter class, then take you out the next day to go for a trail ride or to do some work on the ranch.
We have the bloodlines of some great Appaloosas including Bright Eyes Brother, Prince Plaudit, Joker B, Peavy Bimbo, Sundance, Woodrow Sheik, Bambie and Mansfields Comanche. We also have the bloodlines of some great Quarter Horses including Poco Bueno, King Fritz, Leo, Skipper W, Doc Bar, Wimpy, Peppy, King P-234, Joe Reed II, Midnight, and Joe Hancock. We also have some more recent bloodlines including Big Duke Six, Shorty Lena, Doc O’Lena, Dial Bright Too, Does A Rollin, Zan Parr Bar and Pacific Bailey.
We have foals out of two of our mares that are eligible to be registered with the Colorado Ranger Horse Association, which is one of the oldest western horse registries in the United States. Both Big Duke’s Comet and Big Dukes Moondancer trace back to Max #2 which is one of the founding stallions of the Colorado Ranger Horses. Also, foals from these two mares are also eligible to be registered with the Sundance 500 International.
We also have limited spaces available for colt starting including the starting of gaited horses.
News Flashes I would like to congratulate Nick and Amy Kinsch, owners of Kinsch Show Horses of Oklahoma, on their purchase of Hey Hollywood in 2008. He is currently in training with Jim and Sandy Jirkovsky owners of J/S Training. He is already doing Nick and Amy and his sire, Dial A Challenge proud. At Hollywood’s fourth show, the 2009 ApHC Nationals in Jackson, MS he claimed 3 ApHC National Champion titles in Junior Judged Heading, Junior Judged Heeling and in Junior Working Cow Horse. He was shown at the 2009 ApHC Worlds in Oct. and took Res. World Champion in Jr. Judged Heading. Hollywood now has his ROM in Sr. Working Cow Horse, Open Heading and Heeling, Sr. Judged Heeling.
